It’s been a busy couple of days, and I’ve got updates for you!
Mummy Care Mode Activated
First things first—Tiara got sick. Cue extreme mummy care mode. The past 36 hours have been a mix of sleepless nights, temperature checks, and constant cuddles. Thankfully, she’s starting to feel better now, and for that, I’m so grateful.
Tree Complete with a Personal Touch
On the brighter side, Dabbie has officially completed decorating the Christmas tree! She added some ornaments she made herself and even hung a few ornaments her friends made for her. It’s so heartwarming to see how proud she is of her handiwork. The tree may not be “Pinterest-perfect,” but it’s filled with memories and creativity, and that’s what truly makes it beautiful.
Speaking of updates, if you’ve been enjoying these little glimpses into my life, why not subscribe to the blog? It’s a simple way to stay connected, and I’d love to keep sharing these moments and reflections with you. Just saying! 😊
Books, Menus, and Gift Research
My books by Thomas Friedman (The World is Flat) and Fareed Zakaria (The Age of Revolutions) have arrived! I’m so excited to dive into them soon, but for now, I’m still focused on finishing The Triple Package by Amy Chua and Jed Rubenfeld. I’m down to the last 50 pages, and it’s been such an insightful read.
I’ve also finalized the Christmas menu! The next step is to design a menu card, just like I’ve done in previous years. It’s one of those little touches that makes the holiday feel extra special.
Here are the menu card from the past 2 years:

As for gift research, I’ve made progress there too. I’ve got ideas for everyone, and with two days left until Christmas, I’m telling myself that’s plenty of time to get everything sorted. Right? Right. 😅
Wins and Reflections
Even with the whirlwind of activities, I managed to check off a few important things:
- I completed the work I needed to do for my Bible Study Project. That felt like a huge accomplishment!
- I binged the entire Julia series on Max. It wasn’t on my to-do list, but wow, what a show. The story of Julia Child reminded me of the power of persistence, grit, and perseverance. Her journey is proof that even when the odds seem stacked against you, sticking to your vision can lead to something truly remarkable.
Next on the Agenda
Here’s what I’m hoping to tackle today:
- Purchase Items for the Christmas Menu: It’s time to hit the grocery store and stock up on everything we need for the big day.
- Purchase and Wrap Gifts: The clock is ticking, and wrapping presents is a must if I want to avoid that last-minute chaos.
- Complete The Triple Package: With only 50 pages left, this is totally doable.
- Work on My Course: I’ve got a course I’m preparing for, and today’s the day to make some progress on it.
