Happy New Year, everyone!

I’m feeling a mix of excitement and that tired-but-happy energy that comes with the start of a fresh year. There’s so much I’m looking forward to continuing and finishing in 2025, and I can’t wait to dive in.

Plans for the Blog

Let’s talk about the blog first. My plan is to keep the momentum from last year going—posting on Saturdays and Wednesdays just like I did in 2024. Fun fact: we managed to publish 72 blog posts from April to December 2024! Isn’t that something? I’m honestly so proud of the consistency and creativity it took to make that happen.

This year, I plan to write more education-focused posts, especially with an emphasis on Africa. Education is such a passion of mine, and I’m excited to explore ideas and share insights in this space.

Other Goals and Projects

Here’s what’s on my radar for the early months of 2025:

• 30-Day LinkedIn Challenge: I’m planning to start a challenge soon, where I post consistently on LinkedIn for 30 days straight. I think it’ll be a great way to share ideas, engage with others, and stretch myself creatively.
• Project Management Certification: I’m gearing up to take the exam before the end of March 2025. Preparation has been on pause for a bit, but it’s time to jump back in and hit the books!
• Volunteering: I’ve submitted a request to volunteer with an organization here in my city. It’s a remote role that allows me to give a few hours over the weekend. I think it’ll be an amazing way to give back and feel more connected to my immediate community. I’ll share more about this as it develops.

Finishing Touches and Transitioning Back to Routine

Right now, I’m still in my hibernation/thinking/brooding phase, but I need to switch gears soon. Work and the kiddos’ school both resume on Monday, so we’re spending the next couple of days making sure everything is set for the new week—and essentially, the new year.
